Mindful eating is the practice of eating with present-moment awareness, engaging your five senses. It’s the opposite of distracted eating—like eating while watching TV or scrolling your phone—which can disconnect you from your body’s cues. This disconnection often makes it hard to recognize when you’re full or truly satisfied, leading to overeating or a sense of something “missing” at the end of a meal.
