  • Amy Chow is a Registered Dietitian and the founder of BC Dietitians, a platform dedicated to connecting you with trusted, evidence-based nutrition support across British Columbia.

     

    Amy specializes in pediatric nutrition, food allergy management, and eating disorder recovery. While she is not currently accepting individual clients, she is passionate about collaborating with other dietitians and health professionals, businesses, corporations, and organizations through workshops, consulting, partnerships, and project-based nutrition initiatives.

     

    Amy also provides ongoing support to residential care, assisted living, and community care facilities, as well as daycares, through menu reviews, nutrition audits, and staff education. She completed her nutrition education and dietetics training at McGill University in 2011 and has been practicing in BC ever since, building a diverse and well-rounded career in both clinical and community settings.

     

    Amy's Work and Clinical Experiences as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist:

    • In Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating: Amy has worked as a clinical dietitian at Woodstone Residence (Looking Glass Residence), BC's first publicly funded residential treatment program for eating disorders and the Fraser East Eating Disorders Program.

     

    • In Pediatric and Allergy Nutrition: Amy was a clinical pediatric dietitian with BC Children's Hospital and as the pediatric and allergy dietitian at Healthlink BC (8-1-1) in the specialized nutrition service. Amy has developed a few e-resources : Introducing Solids 101 eCourse, Starting Solids E-Book Package Bundle (for 4-12 months) and a Toddler & Preschooler Nutrition Guide (for 1-3 years old)

     

    • In Assisted Living and Long Term Care: Amy has vast experience with residential care and has worked with several LTC and assisted living sites for menu reviews, swallowing assessment and nutrition care plans. Her past corporate clients include: Nido Montessori Daycare, Clayton Heights Residence, Langley Gardens, Crescent Gardens, The Village, Options Recovery Center, Harrison Pointe, Mountainview Home, Normanna and Phoenix Society.
Interesting Facts

Amy enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and you can find her spending most of her free time in the kitchen trying out a new recipe!
