I’m Dani Renouf, registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience working with patients and clients with kidney disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I am a researcher and leader in my field.
I’ve always enjoyed food culture and the whole experience of food and have lived in Iran, Germany, the United States and Canada, so I’ve been exposed to so many different ways of eating. I speak German, Farsi, and some French and Spanish.
Today, I live and work on the North Shore, on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Salish, and T’Sleil-Waututh and am learning so much about the importance of the land and human connection, as well as the value of traditional foods on people’s health.
It is a pleasure to be working with such diverse cultures in my community and learning about their traditional eating habits and ways of living.
I always like to focus on the positive things that my clients are doing for their health, with the goal to help support their journey toward their health aspirations by learning more about their individual needs and priorities. Enjoying food is so important to me, so I help my clients find their way back to a positive relationship with food, while managing their health conditions at the same time.
I provide individual counseling by phone or by video call, and can be reached during weekdays and weekends, by appointment only.
