BC Dietitians can help you and your child to thrive with Autism so that your family can improve quality of life and enjoy mealtime again.

We understand the unique challenges and dietary preferences often associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including sensory sensitivities, food aversions, picky eating, gastrointestinal issues such as constipation, eating disorders and disordered eating, failure to thrive and obesity. We provide personalized nutrition plans that are not only sensitive to these challenges but also aim to improve overall health and quality of life.

Our services include comprehensive nutrition consult, dietary assessments, development of individualized meal plans, and strategies to address common concerns with ASD including as nutrient deficiencies, growth delays, food selectivity, and texture preferences.  We can help you and your child overcome feeding challenges, decrease frustration around mealtime, expand the variety of foods, resolve gut symptoms and issues, optimize nutrition through diet and supplements for growth and quality of life.

Our goal is to empower your family with the knowledge and skills you and your child need to grow and thrive with ASD. Together, we will review your child’s eating preferences, mealtime behaviors, food record, bloodwork and test results (if available) to ensure we have a complete understanding of your child’s health. We’ll use this information, along with your child’s personal sensory preferences and lifestyle, to make tailored recommendations that are right for your family.
