  • As a registered dietitian, Ashlen aims to focus her career around improving lives through nutrition education. Paired with her love for home-cooked meals, continuous learning and a desire to share this information, she found her passion.

    Ashlen achieved her Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph. Following this, she then completed her dietetic internship and Professional Masters Diploma in Dietetics at St. Michael’s Hospital and Ryerson University. Next was a Diploma in Sport Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee. She has worked in sports nutrition, weight management, bariatric surgery and HIV/AIDS health. Above all, she promotes food as a way to bring health and happiness to each individual she works with. Throughout the last few years as a dietitian, private practice has been the goal, with the focus of health at every size and working towards a healthy and balanced lifestyle that includes and appreciates all foods, without restrictions.

    She has dedicated her career to working with people who are interested in making healthy lifestyle changes. In the beginning stages of any change, it’s common to bite off more than we can chew and aiming too high right off the bat is likely to set us for disappointment. Making small and realistic goals ensures each journey progresses one step at a time for sustainable success.

    Outside of the nutrition world, she loves to spend her time with family and friends, enjoying the beautiful outdoors and tasting new and delicious food. Ashlen can’t wait to work together and help you achieve your nutrition goals!

Interesting Facts

I aim to help busy women optimally nourish their physical and mental health through nutrition, without restrictions. I also hold a Diploma in Sport Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee and enjoy working with athletes to improve their performance and relationship to food.

I provide my clients with evidence-based recommendations in an empathetic and inclusive way, ensuring they feel heard, understood and supported.
