I wish I had more will-power
Do you struggle with emotional eating?
βIβm an emotional eaterβ
βI know what to eat, but I just canβt seem to do itβ
βI wish I had more will-powerβ
You may know all the right things to eat, but struggle with how much and when?
It is normal to struggle with food. Each of us have developed our own particular and somewhat complex relationship with food.
WHY do so many of us struggle with food or food cravings?
- We often eat for comfort and pleasure or coping with stress and anxiety.
- We have learned to eat food as a reward or indulge in treats for good behaviour or to celebrate success. “I need this” or “I deserve this.”
- We eat out of boredom or procrastination
- We just really like the taste of high sugar, higher fat foods!
The act of eating temporarily blocks out negative feelings and emotions that you donβt want to feel. Binge eating becomes a quick fix to manage stress.
In fact, you may be craving the feelings that result from eating, not the food itself.Β But then you feel guilt and shame from binge eating and the vicious cycle continues.Β In order to find food freedom and escape this self-defeating cycle, you will need to dig deeper.
Imagine an iceberg floating in the ocean. Think of the visible βtipβ part of the iceberg as your eating behaviour.Β This is what is seen: It could be the what, when and how much youβre eating.Β Now think about all the thoughts and feeling going through your mind; the unseen 90% part of the iceberg below the surface.
Imagine you come home from work stressed to the max. You find yourself eating ice cream out of the container. This is your eating behaviour. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath your eating behaviour lie the answers to βWHYβ youβre eating the ice cream. This is what you canβt see. Itβs what is going on in your mind. Your thoughts are very powerful.
In Craving Change Inc. you will uncover your eating triggers and explore beneath the surface to that you can learn to comfort yourself without food.Β Β This program is to help you understand your eating habits by understanding your thinking habits. The more aware you are, the better choices you can make.Β First we will understand WHY itβs hard to change stress and binge eating, then we will go into HOW to change to develop a more positive relationship with food.

Β
What and how we eat is influenced by our thoughts and emotions, however, most of us are seldom aware of these internal (under the surface) factors.Β Craving Change applies the cognitive behaviour model to help you understand that your thoughts, feeling and emotions affect your problematic eating behaviour. The battle is fought and won in your mind.
Β
When you Change your Thinking, You can change your eatingβ¦.for good!
