About
  • Feeling overwhelmed by nutrition advice or stuck in plans that don’t fit your real life? You’re not alone. I’m Aarohi, a South Asian Dietitian offering virtual nutrition counselling across British Columbia. I work with adults who want support improving their health without rigid rules, guilt, or pressure to be perfect. Together, we navigate nutrition in a way that honours your body, identity, culture, and lifestyle.

    AREAS OF FOCUS:

    ADHD-Friendly Nutrition
Many nutrition plans are based on a narrow definition of planning and consistency that doesn’t account for the way ADHD brains process tasks, decisions, and energy. I understand this both professionally and through lived experience, which shapes how I work.
I support adults with ADHD in building nutrition systems that work with their brain, not against it. This includes navigating low or fluctuating appetite, variable eating patterns, decision fatigue, medication effects, and the overwhelm that can come from trying to “do it right.” The goal isn’t perfection, but finding strategies that feel realistic, flexible, and sustainable in daily life.

    Diabetes & Metabolic Health
As a South Asian dietitian, I’m acutely aware of how prevalent diabetes, heart disease, and metabolic conditions are in our communities. This shapes how I approach care, with attention to cultural context and real-world sustainability.
I support adults living with diabetes and other metabolic health concerns, including high cholesterol and blood pressure, using non-restrictive, practical strategies that prioritize blood sugar management and quality of life. Cultural foods are not the problem, and they don’t need to be erased to support health.

    Sports & Performance Nutrition
I work with active folks and recreational athletes who want to feel more energized, fuel better for performance and recovery, and support long-term health. Whether you’re climbing, skiing, strength training, or keeping up with an active lifestyle, I help you fuel in a way that supports both performance and real-world constraints.
My approach is informed by advanced sports nutrition training through the International Olympic Committee (IOC), with a personal interest in strength-based exercise and mountain sports. Long days in the mountains shape how I think about practical, flexible fueling that supports performance and recovery without extremes.

Interesting Facts

I’m a dietitian who doesn’t love cooking! I’d rather be in the mountains than in the kitchen, and if a recipe takes more than 30 minutes or 10 plus ingredients, I’m out. My approach is simple, flexible, and built around food you actually enjoy. And no, simple doesn’t mean boring. If you don’t enjoy your food, what’s the point?

My Journey

Over the past 10 years, my work as a dietitian has taken me from Iqaluit to Bella Coola and across British Columbia, supporting people in hospital care, home health, diabetes support and tube feeding. I’ve seen firsthand how often mainstream nutrition advice fails when it doesn’t account for real life, culture, mental health, or neurodivergence. Along the way, I became a Certified Diabetes Educator, helping people navigate diabetes with practical, evidence based strategies that fit into everyday life.

I’ve also completed the International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Nutrition, inspired by my own love of the mountains. Today, I support recreational mountain athletes, from climbers to ski tourers, with fueling strategies that support performance, recovery, and long term health so they can keep doing what they love.
