About
  • I help busy people with irregular schedules reclaim their energy and improve their sleep — without complicated or restrictive diets — so they can focus on the things in life that really matter to them.

My aim is to help you move past “quick fixes” and build habits that work with your hectic schedule — whether that’s rotating shift work, frequent travel, or extended hours.

You’re in the right place if you have a demanding job, a chaotic schedule, and health is important to you — but keeps taking the backseat. If you’re like most of my clients, your stress is high, your sleep is poor, and your nutrition is off.

Mel approaches dietetics with a holistic mindset, keeping in mind that food is much more than just fuel; she realizes that food is culture, it is social and sometimes it is comfort. Mel respects the natural diversity of body shapes and sizes and promotes flexible, intuitive eating. She has an ‘anti diet’ approach focusing on healthy relationships with all foods with an aim of eliminating guilt and shame around food and eating. Mel translates evidence-based nutrition recommendations into practical eating strategies to help people turn their nutrition goals into sustainable changes to help achieve optimal health. Her areas of focus include gut and digestive health; healthy, easy recipes; fueling for sport and an active lifestyle; and the relationship between sleep, stress and diet.
