Carla was born in the tri-cities of Vancouver and loves the outdoors and adventures that BC brings! She loves nature, which is plentiful where she calls home. Her journey to becoming a registered dietitian was influenced by growing up in a household where cooking at home was the norm. As a result, she started cooking at an early age and loved everything about it. She loved experimenting with recipes and ingredients and eventually, she found passion in figuring out how these different foods can help nourish our bodies. Carla graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2019 and has been busy since. She is working in a Fraser Health diabetes clinic in Maple Ridge, and also works for a non-for profit dental and medical organization in Surrey, which supports vulnerable women and children.
